Partners' Institution:
Foundation of Cultural and Business Potential of Civil Society
Project's period (from/to):
01 September 2017 - 31 August 2019
Activity concerned:
IO2 - Didactical Map of Religious Sites
Objectives of activities carried out:
The aim of this Intellectual Output is to produce an Interactive web based Didactical mapping of Religious sites as places (e.g. pilgrims’ routes, ghettos, hostel for pilgrims etc.), sites of worship (churches, synagogues, mosques) and/or artistic masterpieces (e.g. paintings, statues etc.) that are significant from a religious point of view. The places/sites of worship/masterpieces should represent the history of religions and the roles they have played in the context of their local area, from a multidisciplinary point of view: historical, cultural, sociological, economical etc. The contents should take the form of teaching materials to be used by teachers with their students.
Description of activities carried out:
Identification and uploading in the interactive didactical map 50 religious sites in Bulgaria. Some of the sites were visited by FDCBPCS staff for making pictures, videos, talking with local people to find why are these sites important. Some of the sites were suggested to us by local communities and involved schools we are working with, since they are important for the historical and social development of the region and are still present in the everyday lives of people.
Results Achieved:
Descriptions of 50 religious sites uploaded in the web-based map.
