IO3 - Training Course on Religious Traditions
Objectives of activities carried out:
The aim of this Intellectual Output is to produce an on-line training course on Religious traditions for the sharing of religious traditions in order to promote, through mutual understanding, a better integration among students with different religious beliefs and backgrounds within their classes. The collection should outline the everyday life traditions and habits linked to the different religions and confessions, addressing issues as ceremonies (e.g. Mass, Shabbat, Salat etc.), celebrations (e.g. Christmas, Hannukah, Muharran etc.), dietary rules (Kosher food, Halal food, Ramadan etc.).
Description of activities carried out:
The activities carried out by Işılay Saygın Lisesi are designed and implemented in line with the aim of IO3: Training Course on Comparative Analysis of Religious Traditions. Işılay Saygın Lisesi is responsible for the development of the module on Islam in cooperation with Yaşar University (TR).
Results Achieved:
For achieving the aims of the IO3 properly, Işılay Saygın Lisesi:
1. Participated in the third Partners’ Meeting in Paris.
2. Identified three celebrations, three ceremonies and three dietary rules in the Islamic faith.
3. Developed the content for the celebrations, ceremonies and dietary rules in accordance with the template: IO3.B – Guidelines to create the online course.
4. Worked in cooperation with Yaşar University (TR) for the production of interviews, videos and visual materials for the chosen celebrations, ceremonies and dietary rules. All videos related to the chosen celebrations, ceremonies and dietary rules have been uploaded to YouTube.
