Associated Partners

As a result of the exploitation activity a number of associated partners officially joined the project in order to contribute to the improvement of the project impact on their target groups and to ensure the project sustainability by continuing using the project deliverables in the next years.

The associate partners of the Pathway through Religions project are organizations interested in promoting the awareness of human rights at school.  All associated partners share the project objectives and are willing to contribute to their achievement.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
The Union of Islamic Communities of Italy is an Italian organization inspired by the principles of Islam, aimed at connecting, representing and serving the Muslims of Italy. It promotes human values, active citizenship and coexistence among all members of society, and builds bridges between cultures through dialogue and participation, protecting the image of Islam in Italy.
UCOII was born in January 1990 in Ancona by a few USMI components (Union of Muslim Students in Italy). To its creation took part both men and women, foreign and Italian Muslims, and individual associations (today there are 153).
The Association has proposed immediately the pursuit of social solidarity, as also stated in its charter, and later embarked on a progressive path of religious integration, social and legal.
The Association's aims can be summarized as follows:
• Effective inclusion of Muslims in the Italian society, respecting the principles of religion, of their identity and culture and in harmony with the principles of the Italian Constitution and International Charters.
• Witness the presence of believers in productive and cultural activities in Italy, as supporters of a message of peace and justice for all of society.
• Make possible a representation, broad and united, of the Muslim religious community to reach the agreement with the State pursuant to art. 8 of the Constitution so to ensure the exercise of worship, integration and respect of the Italian Islamic Community in accordance with the Italian legal system
standards.
• Support with all its capabilities the cause of peace and well-being of humanity.
In twenty-six years elapsed since 1990, the UCOII has served continuously the rights of Muslims and contributed to their inclusion in the national territory.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
Exchange of experience and expertise during and after the project
• Participation in the Dissemination of the project information through the publication of project’s activities, results and information on our institutional website and social channels
• Promotion of the information about the project to our network of contacts
• Contribution to exploitation and sustainability of the project results
