DESCRIPTION OF THE RELIGIOUS SITE

DESCRIPTION
The Christian-Islamic Dialogue Day which has been held since 2008, again on October 27, proposes a different topic each year on which to discuss. For 2018 is proposed a particularly important issue, which concerns the right to be able to exercise the cult of their religion freely, as stated in our Republican Constitution, proposing the following title: Right to worship and good citizenship: no mosque is illegal !. No one can question the right of the faithful of any religion to gather in public or private places to exercise their cult, because it is a fundamental human right and the Italian Constitution recognizes and defends religious freedom as a right of all citizens and of all religions.
HISTORICAL RELEVANCE
The Day was established in 2001, following the tragic events of 11 September. In those months a group of magazines of the Christian world, religious of various Christian and Muslim confessions, including two Catholic bishops, journalists, theologians and ordinary believers and non-believers, launched the appeal to realize this day of meeting and dialogue between Christians and Muslims who placed a barrier to that "clash of civilizations" that powerful political and economic forces were supporting at the world level. The "civilizations", if they are such, do not clash, but meet, contaminate each other thus promoting peace and civil and human cohabitation
INTER-RELIGIOUS RELEVANCE
The initiative, launched in October 2001, managed to establish itself as a meeting point between Christians and Muslims, succeeding in involving thousands of religious associations and communities from the north to the south of the country, numerous local and national institutions, including the Presidency of the Republic. The meetings of Modena between Christians and Muslims want to be a place in which to become aware that the Islamic world is among us with its faith, its history, its culture: an open space on the problems that Muslims encounter in their relationship with Christians and vice versa, but also on the paths of social coexistence
RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE
The Christian-Islamic dialogue has a great influence on the relationship between the faithful of the two different religious confessions. Every believer is called to deepen his faith and to keep his identity in full. This allows us to open up to other religions to recognize their great spiritual values, understanding that in every experience of the spirit there can be incentives to live more intensely one's own to enrich it with the preciousness of other traditions.
HOW TO USE WITH THE STUDENTS
