HISTORICAL RELEVANCE Although the historical information about Şadıvan Mosque is insufficient, it is known that Katip Çelebi wrote observations about this glass during his visit to the city. The name of the mosque which was written by Katip Çelebi in his book Cihannüma is referred to as "Niflizade" in the foundation records of 1730. The mosque is thought to have been built in the first half of the 17th century. In the end of the review of the Foundation records, a library was built by the "Mustache Süleyman Paşa" on the fountain in 1836 and was later repaired by the Kapanizade family. Because of the lack of the book, very detailed information about the mosque can not be obtained. The Şadırvan Mosque was built near the city and in a moving area with shops at the bottom. Because it is a relatively small area, there is not a courtyard. Today, the mosque is entered by ascending a 29-step staircase in the west direction. There are 10 columns in the glass, 8 of which are carriers. Sadırvan Mosque has been exposed to fire several times throughout its history and was repaired in 1825.
