ACTIVITIES REPORT
Partners' Institution:
USR Toscana
Project's period (from/to):
20 April 2019 - 31 August 2019
Activity concerned:
IO2 - Didactical Map of Religious Sites

Objectives of activities carried out:
The project general aim is to foster the role of school education for the enhancement of social inclusion, through a peer to peer transnational knowledge sharing experience for a mutual understanding of religious habits and beliefs and through a critical analysis of the role played by the main monotheistic religions in history of mankind.

The aim of this Intellectual Output is to produce an Interactive web based Didactical mapping of Religious sites as places (e.g. pilgrims’ routes, ghettos, hostel for pilgrims etc.), sites of worship (churches, synagogues, mosques) and/or artistic masterpieces (e.g. paintings, statues etc.) that are significant from a religious point of view. The places/sites of worship/masterpieces should represent the history of religions and the roles they have played in the context of their local area, from a multidisciplinary point of view: historical, cultural, sociological, economical etc. The contents should take the form of teaching materials to be used by teachers with their students.
Another aim of this Intellectual Output is to monitor, through specific questionnaires, the usability of the map in class activities.

Description of activities carried out:
USR send a questionnaire to teachers of schools in each province of Tuscany, divided into three parts. In the first and second part was asked to evaluate outputs 1 and 2, in relation to:
 Degree of usefulness to build learning paths for/with students
 Ease of consultation and understanding
 Effectiveness in interdisciplinary learning pathways
In the third part, it was asked to evaluate the aims of the project, with the following questions:
 The project provides cultural and didactic tools to manage the presence of students of different religions and cultures.
 The project focuses on training in the values of respect and inclusion
The USR analyzed the responses and charted the results.
