DESCRIPTION OF THE RELIGIOUS SITE
DESCRIPTION
The agency «NEV - evangelical news» is the press agency of the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy (FCEI). It is responsible for fostering and developing contact with journalists and media workers to promote information on Protestantism, the ecumenical movement and interreligious dialogue at national and international level.
NEV-evangelical news, is one of the three pillars of the FCEI Radio Press Service (SSRTV), which also takes care of the Gospel Evangelical radio broadcast (broadcast on the first RAI radio program every Sunday morning at 7.35 am) and the Protestantesimo TV program (heading religious-cultural Rai2 broadcast on alternate Sundays at midnight and a half, and in reply the following Monday at the same time and after a week, Monday morning at 7.20).
HISTORICAL RELEVANCE
Created in 1971, the NEV agency articulates its activity through the dissemination of daily news on the website nev.it and on social media through Facebook and Twitter, sends a weekly newsletter, directs press releases for information operators and publishes in English news weekly. In addition, the NEV agency organizes press conferences and press office activities for particular moments in church life.
INTER-RELIGIOUS RELEVANCE
Nev plays an important role in fostering a sense of mutual tolerance among the faithful of different religions. In fact, it offers a punctual and detailed information service on events, conferences, interviews, documents and books on the theme of ecumenism and interreligious dialogue, as well as news, but also editorials, fact sheets and details on what happens in Italy and the world, with a particularly attentive to issues concerning justice, peace, the environment, the reception and integration of migrants. Nev is committed to the development of information that is increasingly pluralistic and respectful of all faiths, attentive to grasping the contribution that churches and faiths can make to the construction of open, dialoguing and supportive societies.

RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE
The press agency Nev is founded to fill a gap in information related to Italian and international Protestantism and to propose greater attention to the forms of Christianity other than Catholicism, especially since Protestantism has a solid grounding in history and culture Italian.
